- In greeting a prospective employer your hand shake should be firm but not a death grip.
- Remember to smile.
- During the greeting and interview make sure you have good eye contact.
- During the interview watch your body language, which means; sit up straight and keep your hands under control.
- Do not chew gum, play with their business card or act like Ringo Starr with a pencil or pen during the interview.
- Don't control the interview with long, drawn out answers.
- Prior to the interview check your nose and your teeth in a mirror to ensure last night's French fries aren't hanging around.
- Tailor your cover letter to each position you are making application to.
- Remember to thank the interviewer for their time at the end of the interview.
